This will\nundoubtedly be a succulent Saturday night for fans of blues\nroots rock.Steve Winwood’s oeuvre is a real adventure\nnovel for music lovers. As a fifteen-year-old upstart\, he\nstarted out in the Spencer Davis Group ('Gimme Some\nLovin'...) before joining Traffic ('Dear Mr.\nFantasy'...)\, and the supergroup Blind Faith with Eric\nClapton ('Can't Find My Way Home'...) As well as\nall that\, he was in demand as a session musician and played\norgan and guitar on a wide range of records: from Jimi\nHendrix\, B.B. King\, Joe Cocker\, Lou Reed\, Tina Turner\nand Marianne Faithfull to Soulsister and Christina\nAguilera.In 1977\, the year of punk\, Steve started his\nsuccessful solo career. Songs like 'Arc Of A\nDiver'\, 'Valerie'\, 'While You See A\nChance'\, 'Talking Back To The Night'\,\n'Higher Love'\, 'Back In The High Life\nAgain' and 'Roll With It' are etched into our\ncollective memory. The support act will be The Holmes\nBrothers: Sherman\, Wendell and Popsy\, three mighty roots\nmusicians who together have provided heavenly harmonies for\naround 30 years. They have toured or worked with Bob Dylan\,\nVan Morrison\, Willie Nelson\, Peter Gabriel\, Ben Harper\,\nPatti Smith... and their new CD is called 'Feed My\nSoul' (on the Alligator label\, produced by Joan\nOsborne!).
