DESCRIPTION:True country\, roots rock\, strong songs\, honest\nwords!Purebred American\, but very much aware of the world\,\nand one of the strongest characters in the country-rock\ncorner. Steve Earle can do it inspiringly solo\,\noverwhelmingly with his Dukes\, or incredibly with bluegrass\nperformers like the Del McCoury band. We're already\naware of that here. But is it really already 2004 since he\nlast appeared in the AB? Well then\, at once now: Steve\nEarle & The Dukes (and Duchesses) feat. Allison Moorer!\nSo much the better that the latter\, Mrs Earle\, is a\nfantastic singer in her own rite.    Now surely on to his\n20th CD: 'I'll Never Get Out Of This World\nAlive' (on the New West label\, see also: Kris\nKristofferson and John Hiatt.) A title borrowed from Hank\nWilliams\, by the way\, like Earle also just named a\nprevious CD 'Townes' and dedicated it entirely to\nthe oeuvre of his former (and untimely deceased) friend.   \nFor the Earle layfolks\, let it be clear that we're\nhanging out in the heart of all things country\, roots\,\nNashville and Americana here. But then with a musical mentor\nwho means what he sings and has no single subject that he\navoids in recent years (as actor\, author or radio maker\,\nif need be.)    And no: no support act\, so you can expect\nSteve Earle for more than two hours long ! An entire evening\nof verbal and musical fireworks!         City Of Immigrants \n      The Revolution Starts Now
