DESCRIPTION:Editors-frontman makes Christmas album with buddy Andy\nBurrows.Editors-frontman Tom Smith and (ex-Razorlight) Andy\nBurrows have been drinking buddies and fans of classic\nChristmas carols for years. So why not just make a Christmas\nalbum together? Sufjan Stevens and Bright Eyes have already\ndone it and both Bob Dylan and Yo La Tengo recorded carols\nin the past. The result is entitled ‘Funny Looking\nAngels’ and\, aside from own work\, it also contains many\ncovers (including Yazoo’s ‘Only You’ and – an\nabsolute highlight – ‘Wonderful Life’ by none less\nthan Black\, a song that has been on their setlist for a\nnumber of years already. Agnes Obel is to be heard on the\nalbum too.How seriously should we take all this\, dear Tom?\nSmith: “It's no joke. We just wanted to make a CD you\ncould listen to in the winter. When you get back from the\npub or at home with friends. Kaat&Daan are going to open for Smith &\nBurrows\, let's just call it: the Christmas-project of\nEditors-singer Tom Smith. The jury about Kaat&Daan:\n"How simplicity can be so striking!
