DESCRIPTION:Selah Sue has won this year a MIA (Music Industry Award) in\nthe category Solo Female Artist.    Only those devoid of any\nsensory capacity whatsoever would wrinkle their brow when\nhearing the name Selah Sue. At 21 years of age\, this young\nsinger-songwriter from Leuven is still a spring chicken but\nshe effortlessly captures the entire world. Just recently\nopening his concert in the Sportpaleis at the request of\nPrince himself. What's more\, as we speak\, she's\nscoring a hit with the single ‘Crazy Vibes’ from her new\nE.P. ‘Raggamuffin’ (‘more than a pacifier: a shrewd\nmix of pop\, R&B\, electronica and – that's right\n– a dash of reggae’ - HUMO). Moreover\, this E.P.\nproclaims the last stretch prior to her debut album... to be\nreleased on 4 March by French label Because\, which also\nhouses other talented acts like Amadou & Mariam\,\nJustice and Charlotte Gainsbourg. This same album also forms\nthe theme for her concert 'with band' in the AB one\nmonth later\, on Friday 11 March to be precise.Selah Sue\,\nour artiest-in-residence in 2009\, has worked extremely hard\non her debut album over the last few months. In the meantime\nshe has accumulated quite some live experience\, mainly solo\nand in support of an EP that she was able to record in the\nABstudio. You're sure to know the hit 'Black Part\nLove' from that period. Selah Sue was discovered by\nMilow during an Open Mic evening in the Depot in Leuven and\nnow shares a manager with Gabriel Rios. No surprise really\nif you've seen her perform\, then you already know that\nshe is one of Belgium's most promising performers.\n"I write as a singer-songwriter but I most like singing\n'black music'. Soul or blues or ska or ragga or\ndrum'n'bass. Rhythm and colour." In the\nmeantime\, foreign lands are fully falling for this talented\nyoung lady too - with an appearance in the immensely popular\nFrench TV-show Taratata where she performed a duet with Moby\n- and tours of full halls aside performers like Patrice\,\nJamie Lidell and Keziah Jones. What's more\, she's\nmade friends with half of Gnarls Barkley\, that is: Cee Lo\nGreen. He sings on one of the tracks on her album and she\nplays his vocal counterpart on the delicious Cee Lo track\n'Please'.    The On-Point label from Brussels\, a\nsmall and independent label\, was established barely 1 year\nago. At record speed\, the label released four 7-inch vinyl\nalbums. They will be providing a different act for each of\nthe three Selah Sue concerts in the AB in March 2011.Title\nfeat. Delvis will play on Friday 11 March. Title is tipped\nas one of the most promising electronic musicians of The Low\nLands. The debut single 'Caravan' presented his\nP-funk influences mixed with hard\, thumping beats.\n'Sidechain Reaction' then displayed his\ncraftsmanship at songwriting\, the result of the chemistry\ncreated when he shares a stage/studio with Delvis.          \n
