DESCRIPTION:Winners of HUMO’s Rock Rally 2010 present debut\nalbum.School Is Cool\, winners of Humo’s Rock Rally 2010\,\nannounce their debut with the single ‘In Want Of\nSomething’. The band is currently putting all their\nefforts into studio work\, with Reinhard Vanbergen (Das Pop)\nbehind the dials. 15 songs in the track-list and busting to\nprove themselves\, certainly after the delicious debut\nsingle ‘New Kids In Town’ that allowed us to hear that\nthey'd studied the most stunning\, exciting and\nagitating of indie-pop. You can also hear bursts of Pixies\,\nPaul Simon\, Kate Bush\, Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend.\nThe band from Berchem launches its debut album in an\nexclusive avant-première at Pukkelpop on Friday 19 August\n2011. Then we welcome them in the ABClub on Sunday 30\nOctober.‘It's young\, fresh\, new\, infectious and\nabove all it brings so much pleasure. The enormous chemistry\nbetween the band members is evident as of the first song’.\n(VPRO 3voor12)     A shared love of good songs\, a warm\nsound and a nostalgic feel is what united the guys from You\nRaskal You. Atmospheric guitars\, relaxed rhythms\, frugal\nkeys and a sporadically plucked banjo weave a comfortable\ncarpet for the resonant night-radio vocals. Only just missed\nout on making it into the final of Humo's Rock Rally\nlast year\, even though their course did indicate that\nthey're not the thirteenth Americana band in a dozen.\nThey recorded their debut in an improvised studio in the\npre-war Fort VIII in Hoboken (in collaboration with\nScheld'apen) and 'Reverb Kisses' (Clown\nShoes/Rough Trade) is indeed in stores now. The unique\nlocation and the relaxed vibe during and between the\nsessions give the album a spontaneous and organic character.\n
