Young electronica god\nwho\, together with Mount Kimbie\, James Blake and Magnetic\nMan\, is pushing the post-dubstep genre into the\ncharts.SBTRKT (consonants for Subtrakt) is the alias of\nBritish producer Aaron Jerome who - prior to signing to\nYoung Turks – has already released tracks and provided\nremix-work on various labels for the likes of Radiohead\,\nGoldie and Modeselektor. Now he's here with a brand new\ndebut full of detailed beats & bleeps that have been\nenriched by fine vocal contributions from the likes of\nSampha and Little Dragon’s Yukimi Nagano (listen to the\nsingle ‘Wildfire’).His button & dial technique\nreminds one of the best of Pantha Du Prince and Flying Lotus\nand\, as a result\, he stands his own in the battle to get\n(post)dubstep into the charts. Indeed\, SBTRKT is now giving\nacts like Magnetic Man and Katy B some stiff competition.\nLive\, it will be Sampha on keyboards & vocals and\nSBTRKT behind the drum-kit/electronica. Becoming\nReal conceals Toby Ridler who is strongly influenced by\nproducers like Wiley and Zomby. His latest ‘Spectre EP’\nwas released via Not Even\, the label that also brought\nPsychologist to the surface. Musically\, he hovers somewhere\nbetween dubstep\, grime and funky.                          \n
