Or to express it in album\ntitles: the best of ‘Lionheart’ and ‘The Inner\nSanctum’. Following a more than 30 year long career\,\nSaxon still stands at the heavy-metal forefront. After 6\nyears\, once again on stage in the AB.So while Saxon gets\ncatalogued under the New Wave of British Heavy Metal\, that\nalso happens to be one of the movements that inspires the\nAmerican band Iced Earth . They mix it to their heart's\ncontent with trash-metal and progressive-metal\, call it a\ncross between Iron Maiden\, Judas Priest\, Metallica and\nTestament. Their most recent albums were concepts\, the\nlatest one too: titled ‘The Crucible of Man (Something\nWicked Part 2)’.
