DESCRIPTION:Real Ones is that marvelous folk-rock band from Bergen in\nNorway. Following 2 albums on their own label (‘This is\nCamping’ and ‘Home With The Girls In The Morning’)\,\nthe band signed to major label Warner Music in their own\ncountry and last year released the brilliant ‘All For The\nNeighbourhood’. With that album the band has already\nplayed a number of popular showcase festivals (so too\, CMJ\nin New York - link to blog please)\, and they have been\nsituated between the best of Wilco\, The Band and Flaming\nLips.There must be something in the drinking water in that\nsame Bergen in Norway. As names like Royksopp\, Annie\,\nKings of Convenience and Sondre Lerche have recently\nconquered the world with this city as homebase.    ‘Real\nOnes turned out to be one of my favourite surprises of the\nweek. These guys have world class talent’. Brooklyn\nVegas‘Real Ones gave a jaw-dropping performance.’ New\nYork Press ‘Richly melodic\, psychedelic-tinged pop’. \nThe Guardian ‘A fab slab of psychedelic folk’.  The\nSunday Times ‘The freshest and most melodically joyful\nouting of the week. These Vikings are on the march’. The\nMirror    Tommigun is the new project from Thomas Devos\n(Rumplestitchkin) and Joeri Cnapelinckx (Kawada). Musical\nfriends are the likes of The Black Heart Procession and\nScout Niblett ... and that’s not accidental. Tommigun\nmakes music that is sometimes desolate but at the same time\nfragile\, at other times raw but reserved. Or as they say\nthemselves: ‘heartbreakhangover tunes\, explosive bursts\nof anger’. The recordings for their first full-blown album\ntook place in San Diego with musicians from the Californian\nindie-rock scene and Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart\nProcession) as producer. The album will be released soon and\nThomas Devos (vocals/guitar) and Joeri Cnapelinckx\n(keys/vocals) will be assisted live by Kaat Arnaert (vocals)\nand Pim Dewolf (bass).
