DESCRIPTION:Razorlight is still charismatic singer/guitarist Johnny\nBorrell's band. ‘Slipway Fires’ is the title of the\nnew album that was in stores on 20 February\, the\ntraditionally so-called ‘difficult third album’. But on\n‘Slipway Fires’ Razorlight succeeds in keeping its\nmusical path adventurous\, not in the least due to the many\nfine and not-so-fine moments that they've shared and\nthat are reflected in the new songs - primarily written by\nBorrell and drummer Andy Burrows. Yet another British band\nthat gradually nears being catalogued with the new draft of\nGreat New British Rock Bands.Razorlight's debut 'Up\nAll Night' (2004) entered the English album charts at\nnumber 1. Quite a stunt\, which was started by the sublime\nand\, here too\, much played single 'Golden Touch'.\nThe press rightly referred to the typical English sound of\nBoomtown Rats\, The Clash and The Libertines. Their untitled\nsecond album catapulted the band into the musical Champions\nLeague: classic rock that really makes you happy. Singles\n'In The Morning' and 'America' are quite\nsimply pointed\, but addicting and also timeless\,\npop-songs. Their live reputation is a big bonus thanks to\nstage-beast Borrell.
