DESCRIPTION:On 9 November it will be exactly 20 years since you could\nsee one of the most influential hip-hop acts ever\, Public\nEnemy\, on the stage of the AB. When we saw them at work in\n2007 at the SXSW festival in Texas\, we heard an act that\nhadn't lost any of its power or essence. Their critical\nview of American society and the sputtering Afro-American\nemancipation is still flanked by beats and samples\ncontaining 80 years of black American music.So it's high\ntime for a new indoor passage (following their concert at\nthe Lokerse Feesten this summer). DJ Lord replaced\nTerminator X in 1999 and - together with Chuck D\, Flavor\nFlav\, Professor Griff and the S1Ws - he'll be coming to\nstir up the AB. What's more\, they've promised us a\nset with mainly work from their first 3 albums: ‘Yo! Bum\nRush The Show’ (1987)\, ‘It Takes A Nation Of Millions\nTo Hold Us Back’ (1988) and ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’\n(1990)... expect a whirlwind of beats\, propaganda\, energy\nand inspiration.    Support act will be the must-see DJ\nGerazzhoppa. He's everything: DJ\, producer\,\nturntablist. Established Rhyme Cut Core in the late 80's\nwith rapper TLP; became European DMC Champion in 1991;\nworked together with a heap of well-known hip-hoppers and\nwas in the news recently with the Mo & Grazz project.\nWhat's more\, we're excitedly awaiting new work by\nDJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Big Band. In the meantime he'll be\nwillingly warming up the AB for the long-awaited Public\nEnemy concert.
