DESCRIPTION:Later this year we can look forward to a new studio album\nfrom British progressive-rock band Porcupine Tree. After the\nsuccessful ‘Fear Of A Blank Planet’ album of 2007\,\nSteven Wilson & Co withdrew to a studio in the British\ncountryside. On Wednesday 14 October the band is coming to\npresent that new album in the\nAB.Singer/guitarist/keyboard-player Steven Wilson has been\nidentified as the creative core of Porcupine Tree since\n1987. However in the past 20 years this band has evolved\nfrom chill-out (see: The Orb) through psychedelica and\n(after an intense acquaintance with Opeth\, from Sweden) on\nto an exciting mix of progressive\, electronica\, experiment\nand metal... somewhere on the crossroad between Radiohead\,\nNine Inch Nails\, Dream Theater and Tool. The band broke\nthrough to the broader public with their second studio album\n‘The Sky Moves Sideways’ in 1995. Their album ‘Fear Of\nA Blank Planet’ signified a great leap forward for the\nband in which ex-Japan member Richard Barbieri has resided\nsince ’93. Following a brilliant ABConcert in November\n2007\, the band now returns to Brussels again.    Support\nact will be the legendary Robert Fripp\, best known as the\nconstant factor in progressive rock band King Crimson. Their\ndebut ‘In The Court Of The King Crimson’ (from ’68\nalready) is considered to be one of the ground-breaking\nalbums of the progressive genre. Over the past 30 years\nhe's worked with the likes of Van der Graaf Generator\,\nBrian Eno\, David Bowie\, Peter Gabriel\, The Orb and David\nSylvian\, and got together with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani\nin the 2004 version of the guitar-trio G3. Fripp also\ndelivered soundscapes for Porcupine Tree’s ‘Fear Of A\nBlank Planet’ and so the circle is complete.              \n             PORCUPINE TREE ‘Way Out Of Here’           \n                    ROBERT FRIPP ‘Frippertronics’
