DESCRIPTION:41 Year-old American guitarist Paul Gilbert is a phenomenon.\nHe started his career with the metal band RACER X and later\nmoved to the hardrockers of MR. BIG. Since he left this last\nband in 1997 to work on a solo career he has released about\n10 albums. Earlier this year his second instrumental album\n'Silence Followed By A Deafening Roar' landed in the\nshops. An album where superior technique goes hand-in-hand\nwith rock\, funk\, jazz and blues songs. Together with Joe\nSatriani\, Gilbert was part of the legendary G3 tour of 2007\nand with the previously mentioned Satriani\, Eddie Van Halen\nand Yngwie Malmsteen he figures prominantly in the list of\nMost Impressive Guitarists on the Planet. In the afternoon\nPaul Gilbert will be giving a unique 2-hour workshop for a\nlimited number of guitarists. If you want to be part of this\nworkshop group\, send a demo of maximum 10 minutes duration\nand containing your best guitar-playing to: Ancienne\nBelgique\, Paul Gilbert Workshop\, Anspachlaan 110\, 1000\nBrussels before 1 August (and don't forget to mention\nyour address and mobile number!). We will announce the\nwinners at the start of September.
