SUMMARY:Papa Roach + Glamour Of The Kill + Debunk
LOCATION:AB Grote zaal (Anspachlaan 110\, 1000 Brussel)
DESCRIPTION:"Cut my life into pieces\, this is my last resort!”\nAll those who were already pretty active wasting litres of\nclearasil around the turn of the century are familiar with\nthe winged words of ‘Last Resort’\, the hit that put\nPapa Roach on the nu-metal map. It wasn't just that one\nmonster hit either… ‘She Loves Me Not’\, ‘Broken\nHome’\, ‘Between Angels And Insects’ and ‘Getting\nAway With Murder’ are all etched in the collective memory\nof nu-metal-loving Flanders. Together with Linkin Park\,\nKorn\, Limp Bizkit\, Slipknot\, Deftones and Disturbed\,\nPapa Roach formed the core of the golden metal movement of\nthe early 2000's and\, just like the other survivors on\nthis list\, Jacoby Shaddix and entourage evolved in the\ndirection of a new sound -alternative rock/metal- to stand\nthe test of time. Their latest album ‘The Connection’\,\navailable since late last year\, strikes wonderfully hard\nwithout losing the catchy\, sing-along-able hooks. The use\nof electronica demonstrates that the band dares to renew\,\nwithout denying the band's roots. Single ‘Still\nSwingin’ ended up in spot 6 on metalmag Kerrang’s chart\nof the 250 Best Rock Songs of ’12 and reviews of the album\nwere primarily positive. “The Connection is a stylistic\nleap\, that shows surprising restraint\, and--whisper\nit--maturity” was what appeared in the renownd Q magazine\nand Revolver went one better: “Nu-metal survivors Papa\nRoach's sixth full-length is an exhilarating return to\nform.”The excellent album\, in combination with a steely\nlive reputation\, makes Papa Roach a top-act to look forward\nto again. The band has never yet left a crowd unsated and\nthe guys have passed through Belgium regularly in recent\nyears\, at Pukkelpop or in Vorst (with Disturbed) and last\nyear they appeared at a sold-out De Mast in Torhout (with\nStone Sour). You can admire them again at Graspop too this\nyear and in AB\, as it's already from 2002 ago that that\nhappend! So it's clear that Papa Roach loves Belgium. \nWe also know that you all love Papa Roach too\, and AB loves\nyou\, so what are we going to do to channel all that love?\nLet it all loose on the tight snares of one of the\nworld's best live bands! Britain's Glamour\nOf The Kill have already hit the road with Bullet For My\nValentine and Avenged Sevenfold\, and recently shot new\nsingle ‘Break’ into the ether. On it\, they generously\ntossed about deadly efficient double bass and tight\nmetal-riffs. In November\, armed with new album\n‘Savages’\, they'll demonstrate why they once scored\nthe highest possible rating in Metal Hammer for their debut\nEP ‘Through the Dark They March’. \n \n\nhttps://www.abconcerts.be/en/agenda/papa-roach-glamour-of-the-kill-debunk/a105J000001wgrkQAA
