Buy your tickets via www.botanique.be    One of\nIceland’s most beautiful discoveries these last years is\nwithout a doubt twenty-something Olafur Arnalds. Apart from\nbeing the multi-instrumentalist in My Summer As A Salvation\nSoldier and being 1Z2 in the minimal techno project\nKiasmos\, Arnalds writes his own epic music\, orchestrated\nwith strings\, electronics and piano. His tantalizing debut\n‘Eulogy for Evolution’ (’07) was acclaimed by the\ninternational press and his EP ‘Variations Of Static’\n(’08) is a truly magnificent follow-up. In ’09 Arnalds\nwrote the score for choreographer Wayne McGregor’s piece\n‘Dyad 1909’ and in 2010 there will be a follow-up to\nthis. Sigur Rós\, self-proclaimed fans\, took Arnalds on\ntour with them. Arnalds is a must-see and hear for fans of\nLudovico Einaudi\, Max Richter and Jóhann Jóhannsson.For\nall of you with a well-developed musical taste it’s not at\nall unlikely that somewhere in your digital or analogue\nrecord collection you’ll run into a track on which Peter\nBroderick performed. This 23-year old American\nmulti-instrumentalist worked his way into the musical world\nthrough some good old-fashioned session musicianship. You\ncan hear him play on records by M. Ward\, She And Him or\nDolorean. And there’s also a good chance you’ve seen him\non stage alongside Horse Feathers\, Laura Gibson or\nEfterklang. But why we have chosen to have him over is\nbecause of his own body of work varying from pure\ninstrumental piano pieces (like on his mini album\n‘Docile’) over clever orchestrated string music (like on\nthe orchestral conceptual album ‘Float’) to intimate\nsinger songwriter music (like on his folk record\n‘Home’). In other words: highly recommended!
