Matamore and\nStilll/off are only two of the indie-labels from Brussels to\nbe featured at Domino in the past. This year it's the\nturn of HUMPTY DUMPTY RECORDS\, which describes itself as a\n‘DIY label based in Brussels’ and has been operating\nsince ’06. Their stables contain diverse acts including\nthe likes of Tazio & Boy\, Tangtype\, K-Branding\,\nLionel Solveigh \, Françoiz Breut\, Carl\, … The label\nnow has about ten releases to its name\, some of which\nreally stand out due to the striking artwork by Astrid\nYskout (sic). Present on the evening will be: 8:00 pm\nY.E.R.M.O. .... have been dealing in dark\, ambient noise\nand post-industrial music since '04. This duo consists\nof Xavier Dubois & Yannick Franck and their latest\nrelease on Humpty Dumpty is titled ‘From Gold Falls A Bad\nRain’. 9:00 pm CARLHis debut ‘Où Poser Des Yeux?’\nreceived positively raving reviews in the French speaking\npart of our country. Would you read along with us?\n"...Un chef d’oeuvre. En tout cas\, ça faisait un\nbail que je n’avais pas entendu de la chanson française\naussi libérée\, pointue\, provocatrice." (Rif Raf).\nOr also: "Oscillant entre jazz\, hip-hop et chanson\nfrançaise\, le monde de Carl est d’une richesse\nintarissable" (Goûte mes disques). Live\, Carl always\nplays in his own world or better: a cardboard decor that he\nespecially designed himself. 10:00 pm BOY AND THE ECHO CHOIR\nBOY = ½ of French duo TAZIO AND BOY. They also run the\nmicro CD-R label My Little Cab Records that has already\nstruck up twenty or so releases (mainly their own).Boy’s\nlatest album: ‘And The Night Arrives In One Giant Step’\n(following two previously released CD-Rs) was released via\nHumpty Dumpty Records. Containing collaboration from –\nthey would seem to be inseparable - Tazio and members of Soy\nUn Caballo. Beautiful and bewitching. 11:00 pm MIÈLEA band\nfrom Brussels that is diligently working on a second album:\n‘Le Jour et La Nuit’. It is to be released this spring\nand\, according to insiders\, it sounds less rock and more\npop. Live with members of Ghinzu and Soy un Caballo.
