Only the exquisite\,\nmelancholy voice provides an illuminated path in the dark\nforest. On the way we hear mesmerizing melodies\, sometimes\nsad\, other times blissful. But always exciting\, innovative\nand idiosyncratic. Or\, what it might be like if David Lynch\nwere to ask Björk and The Cure to write the soundtrack for\none of his films. Dangerously beautiful. Intensely sweet.\nObstinately exciting. Maya's Moving Castle is the\ncreation of a musical girl who grew up on a small farm\,\nwhere she wrote her songs at night while the insects slept\nand only the moths fluttered around. In her attic room she\ncreated her own fantasy world\, driven by the power of her\nimagination and the urge to experiment. Now the attic room\nhas become a studio\, where she's working on her debut\nalbum together with producers Stefan Bracke (Raveyards\,\nex-The Subs) and François De Meyer (Raveyards\, Villa)\,\nand top musicians Nele De Gussem (vocals\, guitar)\, Stijn\nVanmarsenille (bass\, synth) and Simon Segers (drums). That\ndebut will be in stores at the end of October\, but as of\nSeptember there is 'Next Life': the first Maya's\nMoving Castle single!
