This is already the fifth edition of this unique\ncollaboration between the AB and the Botanique. With yet\nanother new formula: this time a fine selection of\, all\nup\, 10 relevant bands from across the country and with a\npresale ticket price of €10 or €15 for combi-tickets\nthat's the lowest ever (in ABBota's young\nhistory)The band names don't mean much to you yet?\nWe've gathered a bit of boasting below!    7:00 pm -\nClub - ApplauseThis Belgian quartet was formed at school and\nthey provide elegant rock with a multitude of influences\,\nfrom M – for whom they performed as support act in the AB\n– to La Fanfare du Belgistan. Behind the stylish\, somber\nlyrics (usually in English\, sometimes in French) lies a\nboth nostalgic and abstract new-wave world. The single\n“Lighthouse”\, which is played regularly on Radio Nova\,\ncertainly has you looking forward to their first album.7:40\npm - Box - The Sore LosersSilver medal winners at Humo’s\nRock Rally 2010 and then an extremely solid untitled debut\nalbum produced by Pascal ‘Metal Molly/Broken Glass\nHeroes’ Deweze. Since 2009 they have mixed primary\ningredients rock\, country\, blues and garage into their\nentirely own sound. Though we have also read comparisons\nwith The Raconteurs\, Led Zeppelin\, The Rolling Stones\,\nThe Black Keys and other impressive performers. What's\nmore\, the band presents a spirited live-set. Their single\n‘Beyond Repair’ apparently camped in the Studio\nBrussel's Afrekening for 15 weeks! And the clip is a -\neuh – smashing trip!8:35 pm - Club - BikiniansThe brains\nbehind Bikinians are the Lontie brothers. Their musical\nknow-how comes from the likes of Supergrass and The Kinks...\nand more recently also from Cold War Kids\, Black Mountain\nand The Willowz. Their latest EP ”Rhinocirrhosis” was\nproduced by Charles de Schutter (Ozark Henry\, Superbus\,\n…) and John Roo (Sharko\, Experimental Tropic Blues Band\,\n…). The songs are more strongly arranged this time\,\nthough the music remains the most important thing\, with\nboth melodic and penetrating songs.9:20 pm - Box - Lucy\nLucy!These inhabitants of Brussels\, with Fabrice Detry as\nproducer (also leader of Austin Lace and ingenious soundman\nto The Tellers)\, recently released their debut-EP ”The\nMorning Can Wait” with the single “Clock” as\npacesetter. At the latest edition of Les Nuits we heard six\ncurt\, catchy songs in the Orangerie. Lucy Lucy! certainly\ndoesn't let the grass grow under their feet: hair in the\nwind\, smoothly slaloming between rock and folk. Their first\nalbum is soon to be released by 62tv Records.10:30 pm - Club\n- Great Mountain FireThese Brussels residents - also known\nunder the pseudonym Nestor! - are back\, this time as Great\nMountain Fire. It all bathes in a minimalistic disco mood\nand the songs are original and at the same time complex\,\nwith a super-intense and dominant rhythm section. That\nprovides a richly contrasting universe\, inspired by\nelectro-flash and post-punk and balancing between\nbitter-sweet and frenzied. Single “Cinderella” from\ntheir latest album (to be released in 2011) is already\navailable online.                                           \n                                                            \n
