DESCRIPTION:It's difficult to put a label on the music of this young\nCanadian hipster and that is probably also her intention.\nOne minute she's presenting pumping beats à la MIA or\nSantigold\, the next minute she's giving you a lump in\nthe throat with a heart-stoppingly beautiful song\,\naccompanied only by electric piano and some backing vocals\n(check out ‘The Birds’ on her EP ‘If You Can\, Solve\nThis Jumble’ from last year).She already enjoyed a bit of\nattention in the past with the Apparatjik collective but has\nnow chosen to continue making music under the name Lowell.\nOn her facebook page she describes herself as:‘I don't\nwanna go out until the sun is out. I just want to be cold\,\non the horizon. It’s just me and my pillow\, although\nwe're dead sick of the cold. I don't want to tell\nyou my stories\, I don't want to talk about dreams\, I\njust want to fold my eyes\, into my sleepy seeds.
