DESCRIPTION:Singer/guitarist Kurt Wagner's band performed for the\nlast time in the AB in October 2006. That was for the\nfantastic CD 'Damaged'\, the umpteenth from the band\nthat became known for it's country-soaked soul music\nor\, as you like\, soul-soaked country. A breathtaking\nconcert that was eternalized on the live DVD 'No Such\nSilence'. Come 8 October their new studio album will be\nreleased under the title 'Ohio' and true to\ntradition that will be presented in the AB\, on 26 October.\nWhite Hinterland is the alter ego of classically trained\npianist and singer-songwriter Casey Daniel. 'Wind-Up\nCanary' was already released under her own name but she\nchose for the Dead Oceans label for her first fully-fledged\nrecord as White Hinterland: 'Phylactery Factory'.\nThis label is a co-production between Secretly Canadian and\nJagjaguwar\, which has signed a number of much talked about\nnames like Dirty Projectors\, Phosporescent and Allen\nBishop.
