DESCRIPTION:La Roux\, or rather songstress Elly\nJackson backed by producer Ben Langmaid\, has apparently\neffortlessly blown new life into the sound of 80’s\nelectro-pop and is currently making it big world-wide. Of\ncourse\, we already know the superb singles\n‘Bulletproof’\, ‘In For The Kill’ (check out that\nSkream remix!) and ‘Quicksand’. They're all from the\nuntitled debut that has also been camping in all sorts of\nhit-lists for weeks here too. La Roux' concert at\nPukkelpop (the name is a bastardization of the French term\n‘La Rousse’\, meaning redhead) was spot on and so\nshe'll be coming to cheer her many fans again in\nFebruary in the AB.    Belgian electro duo The Brown Acid\nshot out of the starting blocks two years ago\, with a\nspecial ‘teaser’ concert in the AB-Club. The\nBrussels-Leuven project then promptly shifted to a higher\ngear. Hun debut single ‘Try Humanity’ received quite a\nremix dress-down by American dubstepper Starkey and was\nconverted into a rave-anthem by influential Brit and\nwonky-producer Zomby.
