DESCRIPTION:In 2010 – the year in which Kris splendidly celebrated his\n60th birthday - Kris De Bruyne (younger than ever) recorded\nhis 19th album "La Matanza Songs". It's an\nalbum containing entirely different songs than we are used\nto hearing from him.All the songs were conceived and written\non the Spanish island "El Hierro"\, in central\nSpain in "La Parroquia de La Matanza"\, or even as\nfar as Molyvos\, Lesbos. The Spanish and Greek suns clearly\nshone their light on Kris' creative writing &\ncomposing process and charged the songs with a certain\ncarefree grace. The studio recordings took place in an\nextremely sunny atmosphere too\, with his fantastic band\n(see below). The integration of the brass band is also quite\nunique!"Recht op Dank" will be/was released in\nOctober as 1st single\, the 2nd single "I Kori\nMou" is for December.
