DESCRIPTION:Due to events beyond our control\, Karen Elson and her band\nare postponing their previously scheduled European shows\nthat were due to start this Sunday. The trip was in support\nof the release of Karen's debut album The Ghost Who\nWalks which is out May 24/25\, and would have included\nperformances in Berlin\, Brussels\, Paris\, London\,\nManchester and Glasgow.  These shows will be rescheduled at\na later date and refunds for tickets bought will be provided\nat point of purchase. The band's dates in North America\nin June have not been affected. Thanks for your support and\napologies for any inconveniences this may have caused.   \nHer name doesn't immediately ring a bell in musical\ncircles. However\, in fashion circles\, Karen Elson is a big\nname. In the past she's worked with famous fashion\ndesigners like Marc Jacobs\, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Chanel.\nShe's also adorned the much-desired covers of the likes\nof Vogue\, Dazed & Confused and Elle. Her link with\nmusical circles? The White Stripes\, for whom she appeared\nin the ‘Blue Orchid’ clip and soon after meant somewhat\nmore... namely\, she became Mrs Jack White. Her intriguing\nvoice could already be heard in her cabaret clique\, The\nCitizens Band\, and aside both Robert Plant and Cat Power\n(with whom she covered a Gainsbourg song). In May\, her\ndebut ‘The Ghost Who Walks’ will be released –\nproduced by dear husband Jack White – which shifts between\ntraditional folk\, country & blues and a touch of drama.\nThe fantastic single of the same name certainly already\npresents a Karen Elson in top form. We've already seen\nMrs White at work at the showcase festival SXSW in Texas and\nwill just quote our reporter on the spot: “What a\nbeautiful voice and how stylish!” Be there on time for\nKaren Elson's Belgian premiere (with members of The Dead\nWeather and My Morning Jacket in her backing band) in the\nintimate ABClub\, there where dear husband Jack White also\nmade his Belgian debut in 2001 with The White Stripes.      \n
