But it's also a\nnimble-fingered and impassioned lady guitarist\, who was\nalso her virtuoso self two years ago in a sold-out club. In\nthe meantime there's also a fifth CD: 'Junior'\,\nout here via V2 and again produced by Malcolm Burn (see too:\nDaniel Lanois\, Patti Smith\, Emmylou Harris...). This time\nKaki King really will come to shine solo\, on (fabulous)\nvocals and guitar. Though the latter could be either a\n'harp guitar' or a '7 string fanned fret\nnylon' or a 'hi-tuned 12 string' or her\nfavourite 'Ovation'.To just quickly return to the\nannouncement of October 2009: 'Completely unique. OK\,\nso she's not the only one\, but this really is a very\nintriguing American guitarist and singer. Already onto her\nfourth CD: 'Dreaming Of Revenge' and increasingly\nvocal and accessible... As she was already a virtuoso guitar\nplayer with an extremely personal\, very inventive style\nthat would also charm fans of Rodrigo & particularly\nGabriela. Her previous CD\, ‘...Until We Felt Red’ was\nalso produced by John McEntire (Tortoise\, Stereolab…) and\nit fully flaunted her guitar abilities. But Kaki King can\nalso deliver more skilful\, both effervescent and subtle\nsongs. She's already toured with John Butler and Indigo\nGirls.
