A fine\ncollaboration between pianist Jef Neve and the warm velvety\nvoice of José James\, on which they reinterpret a series of\nstandards. From ‘Lush Life’\, ‘Body And Soul’ to\n‘Autumn in New York’ to ‘Embraceable You’. In a\nmanner that is again moving but\, above all\, unadulterated\nand touches upon the essence of things. José James &\nJef Neve already impressed in the AB during the ultimate\nJohn Coltrane project ‘Facing East: the Music of John\nColtrane’. This time they will be displaying their most\nintimate side. 9:30 pm Jef Neve Trio - CD ReleaseIt has now\nbecome tradition: when Jef Neve Trio release a new CD\, the\npremière takes place in the AB. The Jef Neve Trio are onto\ntheir fifth CD\, released a good two years now after the\nstrongly acclaimed ‘Soul In A Picture’. Quite a lot has\nhappened for Jef Neve over those two years. He ‘ran’ the\nprogramme ‘Neve’ on Klara\, wrote the soundtrack for\nbox-office hit ‘De Helaasheid der Dingen’\, Jamie Cullum\neven played Neve in his programme on BBC2 and\, lastly\, Jef\nalso worked intensely with José James.
