DESCRIPTION:Following victory at De Beloften\, Ghent's annual pop\nand rock contest\, Intergalactic Lovers then had a\nconvincing win at East Flanders' Rock Contest. The first\nsingle ‘Fade Away’ was received enthusiastically and\nplaced on playlists at the likes of Radio 1 and Studio\nBrussel. Their mix of melodious (sometimes intimate and\nothers more adventurous) pop music and the unique voice of\nsinger Lara Chedraoui last summer brought them to festivals\nlike Boomtown. The Intergalactic Lovers debut album is\nexpected to be out in early 2011. Lara Chedraoui\, Brendan\nCorbey\, Maarten Huygens and Raf De Mey are Intergalactic\nLovers\, an impure composition of desirous lust-for-life and\nobscure fairy-tales. An alliance of pathfinders from the\nsuburbs at the service of the world's broken and\nrejected souls. For comfort and warmth in the darkest rooms\nof your universe. At the bosom\, in the heart\, before the\nfire or very far from it.We'll be opening with El\nNational Quarterback from Luik. Prime indie-rock inspired by\nthe best of Death Cab For Cutie\, Modest Mouse\, Pinback or\nThe Shins. After a number of supports for the likes of John\nVanderslice and Passion Pit\, early this year their debut\nE.P. ‘Monarchs’ was released. The previously mentioned\nVanderslice provided the mix for it (something he also\nalready did for the likes of Spoon and The Mountain\nGoats).Coca-Cola Sessions? Our refreshing structural\npartner\, whose name is hidden in the title\, has been\nproviding 9 extra Club concerts to support debuting Belgian\ntalent since the '09-'10 concert season. All for a\nbeautiful and youthful audience. What's more\, in the\nfirst press release we wrote: ‘Do you already want to\ndiscover the performer who'll be closing Herman\nSchueremans garden party in a few years’? That sentence\nreally did turn out to be visionary\, as both Balthazar and\nCustoms already appeared at Rock Werchter last\nsummer.We've already presented another new series of\nmuch talked about Coca-Cola Sessions this season\, with sold\nout concerts by Arquettes\, The Tellers\, Addicted Kru Sound\nfeat. Selah Sue and Netsky. As of this season\, each session\nwill be supplemented by reports\, to be viewed on ABtv and\nMoodio.tv.
