DESCRIPTION:ƚBM (INSPIRED BY BLACK METAL)    ƚBM focuses on the\ninfluence of black metal anno 2014 and is a response to the\ncurrent prevalence of the genre. Not coincidentally 30 years\nafter the establishment of legendary Norwegian black metal\nband Mayhem. Nor coincidentally 20 years after the release\nof their debut ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’ - one of the\nmost influential black metal albums ever.        HUNTER\nHUNT-HENDRIX: TRANSCENDENTAL BLACK METAL    As\nfrontman/singer of Brooklyn's controversial black metal\nband Liturgy\, we know Hunter Hunt-Hendrix especially for\nhis unbelievably powerful voice and atypical look. In the\nmanifest Transcendental Black Metal: A Vision of Apocalyptic\nHumanism\, that he presented at the Black Metal Theory\nSymposium I: Hideous Gnosis in December 2009\, he bandies\nthe idea that there is a continuous evolution in the history\nof extreme metal. He sketches the differences between\nEuropean (Hyperborean) and American (Transcendental) metal\nand so differentiates at the same time between blast beat\nand burst beat. He approaches (black) metal from a\nphilosophical angle and assumes controversial standpoints.\nAnno 2014\, Hunter Hunt-Hendrix is working on a new version\nof the manifest and will come present it in Huis23\, as a\npart of the IBM series.
