Huntsville\ncreates a beautiful mosaic of sound\, combining\nkaleidoscopic grooves with the nuanced interaction and\nunstructured freedom of abstract improvisation.” (Chicago\nReader)  In the fall of 2010 the AB will once again focus\nupon the Far North. Following the successful Iceland\nAirwaves (in ’08) and the annual Spot On Denmark\, now\nNovember 2010 will focus on Norway – in collaboration with\nBozar. This fall 2009 we will already be giving a number of\nhints with concerts by Norwegian performers like BJØRN\nBERGE (26 October\, ABClub) with his powerful blues-rock\,\nREAL ONES (30 October\, ABClub) with their energetic\nfolk-rock and also this impressive discovery: HUNTSVILLE.\nHuntsville is a Norwegian trio connected to the impressive\nRune Grammofon label (see also: Susanna And The Magical\nOrchestra\, Supersilent\, The Low Frequency In Stereo\,…).\nTheir music floats somewhere between rock\, drones\,\ncountry\, jazz and electro-acoustic improvisation. Abstract\ndrone Americana or even yoga country are terms that turn up\nin reviews for Huntsville albums like ‘For The Middle\nClass’ (their debut from ’06) and their double ‘Eco\,\nArches & Eras’ (from ’08). On the latter you could\nalso hear Nels Cline and also Glenn Kotche\, both from\nWilco. We've also seen central character Ivar Grydeland\nturn up in Hanne Hukkelberg's band. Free for SONIC YOUTH\nconcertgoers in the Main Hall on this evening.
