From the 1st of april\, Brusels based\nbands can subscribe to Het Kampioenschap van Brussel\,\nBrussels biggest music contest!Previously in 2003\, 2005 and\n2007 bands (Brussels only!) play the preliminaries\, our\nprofessional jury then chooses 8 finalists. For this 2009\nedition we give 36 bands a spot on stage (instead of 30)! 4\npreliminaries find place at the Brussels youth houses\, this\nyear we also have 2 preliminaries in the centre of Brussels:\n@ Recyclart and the Beursschouwburg! If you have a lot of\nconfidence as a band already\, write down the date of the\nfinale: 28th of November @ AB\, Brussels.What we remember of\nour first 3 editions are the soldout shows and the high\nquality of our contestants. Reasons enough not to change too\nmuch for this brand new edition. First of all is our main\ngoal to create a stage for debutting bands\, we managed to\nput this goal into reality: it’s a mission of the Brussels\nyouth houses to give debutting bands opportunities. In this\nstory we give full responsibility to these youth houses to\ncreate the preliminaries.New for this edition is that all\nsubscriptions take place online @ vi.be\, the online music\ncommunity of Poppunt. If you subscribe your band before the\n1st of june\, you can even win a concertspot @ Bruksellive\,\nthe festival managed by the Brussels youth houses!Reaching\nto the finale means: playing @ the AB box! This is already a\ngreat gift for all finalists. At the very same moment 5\nother contests in every Flemish province take place.\nTogether with those 5 other contests we have a common\nproject called ‘100% Puur”\, which is coordinated by\nPoppunt. This project gives all finalists of all 6 contests\nopportunties to gig in clubs\, festivals\, youth houses…In\n2009/2010 all finalists of all 6 contests will participate\ntot this project.
