More\nTeeuwen news however on the site www.hansteeuwen.tv. Also\nabout this new programme: 'Sings songs that have been\nsung much earlier\, more often and even better in the\npast... Music was my first love and it will be my last\,\nmusic of the future and music of the past...' Hmmm\,\nstill a little humour after all?That this is rightly his\ngreat artistic love is apparent from the kilos of rave\nreviews\, certainly following his visit to the North Sea\nJazz Festival (immediately amongst the greats and legends).\nHans Teeuwen devotes himself here to that 'Great\nAmerican Songbook' with every now and then a song of his\nown. He clearly doesn't do this like the next best\ncrooner\, but with 'the sharpness of SINATRA and the\nexplosiveness of NICK CAVE'!The singer Hans Teeuwen will\nbe accompanied by a band composed of fantastic musicians. On\nguitar JESSE VAN RULLER: already winner of the Thelonious\nMonk Competition in Washington in 1995\, has meanwhile\nreleased 10 of his own CDs\, from New York to Japan. On alto\nsax BENJAMIN HERMAN: in 2006 winner of the VPRO/Boy Edgar\nprize\, and owner of a complete trophy cabinet with his New\nCool Collective. On piano RUBEN HEIN: this year completed\nthe Masters-training in jazz-piano at the Amsterdam\nConservatorium and is a member of the Amsterdam Jazz\nOrchestra. On bass KASPER KALF: plays (inter)nationally with\ndiverse ensembles\, such as Pete Philly & Perquisite\,\nMonsieur Dubois and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.\nAnd on drums JOOST KROON: graduated from the Rotterdam\nConservatorium five years ago with a 10 Cum Laude and is a\npermanent member of the New Cool Collective.Enough laughs\,\nplay!
