DESCRIPTION:GONDWANA RECORDS Founded in 2008\, by Manchester-based\ntrumpeter\, composer and producer Matthew Halsall\, Gondwana\nRecords\, turned 10 last year. Originally founded to shine a\nlight on the Manchester scene\, Gondwana Records is one of\nthe UKs most influential jazz (and beyond) record labels\,\nlaunching GoGo Penguin on the world and now home to an\ninternational roster featuring artists from as far afield as\nLos Angeles and Melbourne\, Australia.    Following sold out\nshows in London Roundhouse\, Manchester Yes and Tokyo Unit\nGondwana Records is super excited to present Gondwana 10\nBrussels at one of our favourite venues\, the amazing AB\n(Ancienne Belgique) in Brussels.    In the main hall\, local\nheroes STUFF. (who are released internationally by\nNEWS/Gondwana) headline\, alongside performances from\nwide-screen minimalists Portico Quartet\, sublime spiritual\njazz from Matthew Halsall & The Gondwana Orchestra and a\ndebut for former Cinematic Orchestra bassist Phil France\,\nperforming his own subtle\, ever evolving -compositions.   \nMeanwhile in the club you can check out\, powerful\nelectro-soul outfit Noya Rao from Leeds and Gondwana’s\nlatest signings\, Polish piano sensation Hania Rani\nperforming compositions inspired by Icelandic landscapes and\nthe Polish Bieszczady mountains and Sunda Arc whose unique\nhybrid of electronic and acoustic instruments will get you\ndancing.
