DESCRIPTION:Because tradition just happens to be important: after\n'Live at the Ancienne Belgique' ('05) and\n'Live at the Ancienne Belgique II' ('06')\nthe logical successor is 'Live at the Ancienne Belgique\nIII'. In September '09\, live-recordings were made\nin the AB of new material from the (in their own words)\nseven-member terror jazz-combo Franco Saint De Bakker.\nInitially starting out as a band that concentrated on jazz\nstandards from the likes of Charlie Parker\, Mal Waldron or\nSonny Clark\, more and more craziness\, contrariness and\nalso own compositions crept into their repertoire. Also\ntheir interpretations of 'No One Knows' (Queens Of\nThe Stone Age) and 'Blue Monday' (New Order) have\nnow become Franco-classics. Franco's line-up looks even\nmore impressive than ever now too\, with the likes of\nfounding member Elko Blijweert (see too: Wim Vandekeybus\,\nTip Toe Topic\, Rudy Trouvé Sextet\,...)\, Karel De Backer\n(Filip Kowlier\, Novastar\,...) Joris Caluwaerts (ex-Zita\nSwoon\, The Go Find) and Rudy Trouvé as regular guest.
