She presents her seemingly\ncheerful songs in the manner so enchantingly described on\nher website: 'people fall in love listening to Eleni\nMandell.' In home town L.A. she quite often runs into\nChuck E Weiss or Tom Waits. At our end of the world\, Arno\nwas already considerably mad about fine Eleni. Her latest CD\nis called 'Artificial Fire' and will be released\nhere via Sonic RendezVous. Give her a warm welcome!Liam Finn\nhas just recently released a fiery title too: 'I'll\nBe Lightning' (via V2). Humo wrote: 'carefully\nbrewing a cocktail with so many ingredients that you\ncan't even categorize it\, or it would have to be\n'world-pop music' ... irresistibly charming ...\ndeserves heavy airplay ...'.
