SUMMARY:Eagles of Death Metal
LOCATION:AB Grote zaal (Anspachlaan 110\, 1000 Bruxelles)
DESCRIPTION:Boogie\, disco and glam. Jesse Hughes\, charismatic frontman\nof Eagles of Death Metal\, and his studio companion Josh\nHomme don't mind a bit of it and they get better with\nevery record. On new album ‘Heart On’\, the gimmick and\npastiche factor has completely made way for top-class catchy\nsleaze-rock (just listen to that single ‘Wannabe in\nL.A’). Queens Of The Stone Age singer Josh Homme is\nnowhere to be seen live\, but Hughes has gathered together a\ngang of completely crazy musicians who always convert his\nup-tempo\, old school rock 'n' roll-flavored\nass-shaking boogie into a huge party. For the archives\, we\nalso just mention that our very own Tim Vanhamel from\nMillionaire had a prominent role in the first version of\nEofDM.‘There are more important rock groups than Eagles of\nDeath Metal\, but are any of them this much fun?’ (Rolling\nStone) Support act will be no less than our national\npride\, The Black Box Revelation. They're currently\ntrampling Europe (and gradually America too) with their\ndebut 'Set Your Head On Fire'\, produced by\nTriggerfinger drummer Mario Goossens and mixed by Greg\nGordon (Jet\, Wolfmother). Their most recent single\n'Never Alone / Always Together' is impossible to\nremove from the ether and their concert at prominent\nshowcase festival Eurosonic was strongly appreciated. At the\nend of February you'll find them together with Eagles Of\nDeath Metal on various European stages\, including the great\nstage of the AB.
