A city without a language\,\nor is it? De Fanfaar perform in the Brussels dialect and\ntinker with and continue to build upon this dying dialect\,\nin doing so they create their own language.De Fanfaar hasve\nsteadily been establishing their own unique path since 2004\nand along the way they also won the likes of the\nNederpopprijs (2008)\, scored a spot in the finals of the\nNekkawedstrijd (2005) and in 2009 released their debut album\n‘Zonder Compasse’. Singles and video clips like\n'Adieu'\, Televees'\, ‘Armand Pien’ and\n'Ce Soir...' didn't go unnoticed. During the\nlast 6 years\, De Fanfaar has established a definite live\nreputation\, with successful visits to diverse stages in\nBelgium and The Netherlands.Their 2nd album ‘Glorie\nGlorie’ will be released on 25 October. The album was\nproduced and recorded by Ace Zec (Customs). He provided a\nsound that leans more toward Triggerfinger and The Hickey\nUnderworld than to De Mens or Gorki. The album contains\nguest contributions from the likes of Jan De Wilde and\nGianni Marzo (Isbells\, Marble Sounds). Fred Kevorkian (The\nBlackbox Revelation\, Triggerfinger) mastered the whole\nthing. Basically: a bomb of an album that makes you wonder\nif singing in your native language isn't cooler than\nsinging in English after all!
