Not without reason\, he was once\ndescribed as Seattle’s Godfather of Neo Folk. But then he\nhad already debuted in the 20th century – in ‘97 to be\nprecise – and actually delivered his 10th album last\nyear\, ‘Maraqopa'. Maraqopa? Jurado: “It’s a made\nup word.” A joke by his mate\, producer\, The Shins-member\nand multi-instrumentalist Richard Swift. “If you name your\nalbum that then you'll introduce a new term to\nGoogle.”    Yup\, Jurado has a sense of humour. But\nparticularly: a golden voice. So it's not without reason\nthen that the famous Rough Trade Shop gave credit to his\nlatest album with a nomination for their ‘Top 10 Albums of\nThe Year 2012’ chart. Damien Jurado doesn't tour all\nthat much\, but does adorn the impressive bill of the End Of\nThe Road festival in England. He was happy to come over for\nthe Feeërieën.
