This spring he opened in Europe for his\nbuddies Godspeed You! Black Emperor (who also released his\nalbum via Constellation Records). He was nominated earlier\nthis year for the Polaris Music Prize\, the prestigious\nprize for best Canadian album of 2011. He has played with\nand/or can be heard on tracks by Feist\, Bon Iver\, Tom\nWaits\, TV On The Radio\, David Byrne\, Lcd Soundsytem and\nThe National. To put it briefly: Colin Stetson is highly\nrated among professional musicians.His latest album ‘New\nHistory Warfare Vol. 2: Judges’\, which came out this year\n- featuring collaborations by Lauri Anderson and My\nBrightest Diamond among others – was given an excellent\n8.2 on Pitchfork. Stetson is a master of circular breathing\nand the way he plays tenor sax is reminiscent of past\nmasters such as Evan Parker\, Peter Brötzmann and Anthony\nBraxton. This autumn he will be joining the Bon Iver live\nband and is also playing at the renowned curatorship\nfestival\, All Tomorrow’s Parties\, still intimately known\nas the AB Club.    This concert will take place as part of\nSkoda Jazz.
