DESCRIPTION:Finally! Citizen Cope is one of the best kept American\nsinger-songwriter secrets. Even though he tours the States\nintensely and he's also already released 4 CDs since\n2002. Ever idiosyncratically navigating between folk and pop\nand rock and hip-hop\, occasionally even with a Carlos\nSantana involved\, eg: in the compelling 'Sideways'\n(also to be found on Santana's Shaman album.)To be\nsituated between Chocolate Genius and G.Love? His real name\nis hidden in the title of 'The Clarence Greenwood\nRecordings'\, a CD from 2004 that charmed immediately\,\nfrom beginning to end. Now with enough fans convinced here\ntoo to look forward to a full-blown Belgian or even European\nconcert\, at last. That Cope changed record companies for\neach release doesn't make it any easier to follow his\ncareer here. Now he's just gone ahead and set up his own\nbusiness: Rainwater Recordings\, with a first 'The\nRainwater LP' just out and it does indeed appear to be\nan LP: only 10 songs and those who want more can listen to\nit again and again.
