No Flying Lotus\,\nKamasi Washington or STUFF. without the injection of Sun\nRa’s afrofuturism. Even Solange recently shared a stage\nwith Sun Ra Arkestra. Basically: the band that has continued\nto tour since’93\, after Sun Ra 'headed back to\nSaturn' at the end of his life. He left around about 100\nalbums – of which\, 'Jazz in Silhouette' (’59)\nis seen as a masterpiece and the afrofuturistic science\nfiction film ‘Space Is The Place’ is seen as his best\nknown work. Since’93\, his band Sun Ra Arkestra has been\ntouring the world tirelessly under the auspices of\nsaxophonist Marshall Allen\, now 95 (!).
