SUMMARY:Cage The Elephant
LOCATION:AB Club (Anspachlaan 110\, 1000 Bruxelles)
DESCRIPTION:Cage The Elephant doesn’t immediately ring a bell here but\nthat is sure to change soon. Their new single ‘Shake Me\nDown’ has grown into a huge hit in homeland USA and the\nassociated album ‘Thank You\, Happy Birthday’ (that will\nnow also be officially released here via EMI) entered the\nBillboard album charts at number 2 and the iTunes charts at\nthe top earlier this year. On their current tour\, the band\nshares stages with bands as diverse as The Black Keys or\nBiffy Clyro. It’s actually quite difficult to describe\nCage The Elephant musically. Not because you can’t put\nyour finger on what they’re about but because their rock\nsongs exhibit a timelessness patented by only the great\nsongwriters. This fivesome encompassing the brothers Matthew\n& Brad Schultz has already received quite some\nsuperlatives:"…one of rock’s best young\nbands." (3.5 stars) – Rolling Stone "…one of\nthe best rock albums of the year…" Alternative Press\n"The new album is more abrasive\, rowdier\, more\nunstable and pushier in the right ways." – New York\nTimes "…ripping rave-ups and effortlessly tasty\nsingalongs…" (3 stars) – Los Angeles Times The\nDeVilles is a power-trio from Keerbergen who've consumed\nthe required dose of music history. They're inspired by\nboth 60’s rock ‘n’ roll and by blues bands\, as well\nas by big modern names (Triggerfinger\, Wolfmother\, The\nDatsuns). A mix of rock\, blues\, garage and rock ‘n’\nroll results in a youthful and eager collective that\nisn't afraid of a little entertainment. Think hard\,\nedgy and sexy. \n\nhttps://www.abconcerts.be/en/agenda/cage-the-elephant/a105J000001wgkkQAA
