This modest master doesn't use\nthat many exclamation marks himself\, but his string playing\n(slide\, finger style\, percussion)\, his craftsmanship\n(music and ethnology)\, his fruitful collaborations (with\nmusicians and students)... In everything that Bob Brozman\npresents you can hear a healthy\, stimulating striving for\nrich musical and interpersonal contact. This American has\nbeen spreading that good word for decades now. If need be\,\nyou could compare it to what Ry Cooder also loves to do and\ndoes so well. In Bob's case then we're talking about\nfield work and recordings in the Blues Delta\, Papua\,\nIndia\, Réunion\, Guinea\, Hawaii\, Australia\, Okinawa\n(from where he once also brought Takashi Hirayasu to the\nABClub)... This time solo\, but don't worry: then there\nis more than enough room for his unbelievably witty tales.\nSomething else for the advanced audience: Mr Brozman is\nespecially mad about those shiny National guitars. For the\nbeginners: on his site there are also 'Tips For\nGuitarists'\, like this one about the slide alias\nbottleneck: 'Fifth size Mateus wine bottles make the\nbest slides' (due to the long straight neck of the\nbottle\, this connoisseur clearly thinks less of the\ncontent).    On the afternoon of his ABConcert\, Bob Brozman\nwill also hold an exclusive workshop in the ABClub. As\ntheme\, he's suggested: rhythm development\, open\ntunings\, & slide (based in blues). Those who want to be\nthere should send a recording of maximum 10 minutes\nduration\, on CD\, to AB Bob Brozman\, Anspachlaan 110\,\n1000 Brussels\, and do it before the end of October.\nDon't forget to provide your email address and mobile\nnumber. The most promising submissions will be selected and\ncontacted personally. The workshop will take place on\nTuesday 25 November\, between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
