SUMMARY:Black History Month: ESINAM + Sunday Rose
LOCATION:AB Grote zaal (Anspachlaan 110\, 1000 Brussel)
DESCRIPTION:As part of Belgian Black History Month\, we will be hosting\n3 live broadcasts on the AB Facebook page\, putting the\nspotlight on some very promising black talent. Some may have\nalready made a name for themselves\, either through A COLORS\nSHOW\, by taking part in De Nieuwe Lichting or because they\nhave previously graced the stage at AB. Others have not yet\nfound fame\, but are no less worthy of discovery. On the\n17th\, 18th and 19th of March\, we offer a very warm welcome\nto our rising stars. On Friday 19 March\, we are delighted\nto introduce ESINAM and Sunday Rose.Brussels flautist ESINAM\nhas come a long way already. She was part of Marockin'\nBrass\, Kel Assouf\, Témé Tan and Sysmo\, and has already\ncontributed to albums by the likes of Melanie De Biasio and\nBaloji. In her solo work\, this multi-instrumentalist\ncreates a unique universe where acoustic sounds are\ninterwoven with electronic effects and her own voice. The\nresult is a rich\, colourful electro-jazz sound. Her live\nshows take the audience on a journey through this unique\nmusical world\, while she also allows plenty of room for\nimprovisation.Last year\, Sunday Rose was part of the talent\ncontest De Nieuwe Lichting\, with her single 'Worst I\nEver Had’. She was also asked to be the supporting act for\nTessa Dixson. One single soon led to more\, thanks to her\nunique blend of pop\, R&B and soul music. Sunday Rose\nhas firmly established herself as ‘one to watch’.Check\nout the full program here.
