DESCRIPTION:Ben Kowalewicz\, frontman to one of Canada’s greatest\nrock 'n' roll successes since the turn of the\ncentury\, is convinced that the new Billy Talent album\n‘III’ is the best to date. For this masterpiece they got\na hold of top producer Brendan O’Brien\, who recently\nadded Bruce Springsteen and AC/DC to his already impressive\ntrack-record (Pearl Jam! Soundgarden!). From their previous\nalbum\, titled ‘II’ (you've already got the hang of\nthe simple choice of album titles?)\, the single ‘Fallen\nLeaves’ was a fine step toward a bigger audience here.\nThis foursome from Ontario's punk-rock has been inspired\nby many according to Kowalewicz: ‘We were really\ninfluenced by punk rock\, rock and roll\, hip hop and\nreggae\, and punk bands like The Clash\, the Pistols\, the\nBuzzcocks and later on Fugazi. There have definitely been\nsome punk bands that have influenced us’. So look forward\nto this undoubtedly brilliant concert.    Support act will\nbe Canada's Sights & Sounds\, who balance between\npost-hardcore and the musical versatility of\, say\,\nDenmark?s Mew. Their debut 'Monolith' was produced\nby Devin Townsend (Darkest Hour\, Misery Signals\, Bleeding\nThrough) and\, according to their bio\, is 'a collection\nof intricate songs that straddles the line between sonically\nmassive and a beautiful experiment in textured sounds'. \n  Good news for Billy Talent fans. Following the unfortunate\ncancellation of the recent 3 November concert\, the band has\nnow managed to find time to come and please their European\nfans after all. On Monday 1 February the band will arrive at\nthe AB for an undoubtedly brilliant concert.
