DESCRIPTION:We haven't heard from German stage-animal Beatsteaks\nhere in Brussels since 2007. That was the year the album\n‘.limbo messiah’ (that's right\, with a full stop at\nthe front and without capitals) was released and they scored\na modest hit here with ‘Cut Off The Top’. In the\nmeantime they also released a live CD/DVD in 2008. Fast\nforward to 2011. That's when we can expect a new album\n(via Warner) and the band has already announced an arena\ntour in Germany. Because Beatsteaks is simply huge there but\nHolland and Belgium are also gradually falling for this\npop-punk band from Berlin. So we welcome them once again in\nthe AB on Saturday 14 May 2011. Beatsteaks is a pop-punk\nband that has established a solid fanbase since 1995. Their\n1999 album ‘Launched’ was the first from a German band\non prominent punk-rock label Epitaph. In 2004 the won the\n‘Best German Act’ at the MTV Music Europe Awards and 3\nyears later\, at the same awards\, they bagged the Best Live\nAct prize. At home the band regularly performs for ten\nthousand frenzied fans.    Support act will be Dÿse from\nGermany. According to their bio they're as radical as\npunk\, as brilliant as avant-garde and as racy as Michael\nSchumacher.
