DESCRIPTION:Bat For Lashes is the brainchild of British\nsinger-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Natasha Khan.\nThe material for her first album 'Fur and Gold' came\nabout while she worked as a kindergarten teacher. You'd\ngo psychedelic for less. The new Bat For Lashes album\n'Two Suns' was released earlier this year. It was\nwritten and recorded in all sorts of places\, from sunny\nCalifornia to the British countryside with\, every now and\nthen\, a little New York or London in between. Yeasayer\nsigned on for the perfect beats\, the record's charming\ncloser is a duet with the legendary Scott Walker. Both\nalbums were nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. In\n2007 she had to let the Klaxons go first\, maybe this year\nwill be better\, the result will be known on September 8.\nBut you can judge for yourself anyway in the AB at\nHalloween.    Hecuba is an American duo consisting of\nperformance artist Isabelle Albuquerque and\nmusician/designer Jon Beasley. They've already produced\n2 albums and NME wrote of them: ‘This LA two-piece do\n50’s-influenced spook-electro\, with sparse keyboards\nbuilding atmospheres pregnant with dread and desire\, while\nIsabelle Albuquerque croons nightmare-logic lyrics\, one\nminute a victim\, the next a femme fatale. 8/10’.\nThey've already toured with Devendra Banhart and this\ntime they'll be visiting the AB as support act to Bat\nFor Lashes.
