DESCRIPTION:Belgian pop sensation presents Best Of.Arid's fourth\nstudio album - entitled ‘Under The Cold Street Lights’ -\nwas released early on in 2010 and a year later there was\nalso a version released with a live@AB DVD. Now the band has\nhad the brilliant idea of compiling all their singles and\nsimply entitling it ‘Singles Collection’. With a whole\nheap of hits to their name\, it was probably no small task\nto get them all on one disk. Remember ‘Life’\,\n‘Believer’\, ‘Me And My Melody’\, ‘You Are’\,\n‘Words’\, ‘Tied To The Hands That Hold You’\,\n‘Broken Dancer’\, yes even their brilliant tribute to\nWill Tura: their version of ‘Hart Van Goud’. What's\nmore\, there's a new single on the way: ‘The High\nLife’. This Best Of will\, of course\, be supported by an\nextensive tour that is to conclude in the AB on Friday 23\nDecember.Arid were rightfully offered a record deal after\ntheir Rock Rally final in 1996 (the grand crû year with\nNovastar\, Tom Helsen and An Pierlé). Their debut ‘Little\nThings Of Venom’ was released in 2000 with the\ncollaboration of Piet Goddaer (Ozark Henry) and David\nDewaele (Soulwax). The singles ‘Life’ and ‘Believer’\nimmediately brought the band to the attention of a broader\naudience. Successor ‘All Is Quiet Now’ - containing the\nhit singles ‘You Are’ en ‘Everlasting Change’ - was\nreleased in 2002 but that very same Jasper Steverlinck also\nwent solo and scored a monster hit with his version of\n‘Life On Mars’\, with thanks to David Bowie for the\noriginal song and the Kolacny brothers for the packaging.\nHis solo debut ‘Songs Of Innocence’ was also a huge\nsuccess. In 2008\, Arid again confirmed its status with the\nalbum ‘All Things Come In Waves’\, on which you will\nfind the singles ‘Why Do You Run’ and ‘Tied To The\nHands’.
