DESCRIPTION:In order to satisfy the great demand for tickets\, there\nwill be a second Arid concert in the AB\, namely on Sunday\n28 February 2010. Moreover\, the band has released 3\nexclusive snippets of new songs that you can pre-listen\nexclusively here on the Aridsite. The album itself will only\nbe released in February\, so enjoy this foretaste to the\nfullest.   The new single from our fatherland's pride\,\nARID\, will be released in January. Yup\, singer Jasper\nSteverlinck's band has been hanging out in the studio\nover recent months and their new\, fourth album is now\nfinished. The complete album will only be released in\nFebruary 2010 and will be presented to the broader public\nduring a two-dayer in the AB\, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28\nFebruary.    After their Rock Rally final in 1996 (the grand\ncrû year with Novastar\, Tom Helsen and An Pierlé)\, Arid\nwas quite rightly offered a record deal. Their debut\n‘Little Things Of Venom’ was released in 2000 with the\nassistance of Piet Goddaer (Ozark Henry) and David Dewaele\n(Soulwax). The singles ‘Life’ en ‘Believer’\nimmediately brought the band to the attention of the general\npublic. Successor ‘All Is Quiet Now’ was released in\n2002\, with hit singles ‘You Are’ and ‘Everlasting\nChange’\, but that very same year singer Jasper\nSteverlinck went solo and scored a huge hit with his version\nof ‘Life On Mars'\, with thanks to David Bowie for the\noriginal song and the Kolacny brothers for the packaging.\nHis debut solo album ‘Songs Of Innocence’ was a big\nsuccess too. In 2008 Arid confirmed its status once again\,\nwith the album ‘All Things Come In Waves’ on which the\nsingles ‘Why Do You Run’ And ‘Tied To The Hands’ are\nto be found. Wallonia also finally fell for their\nexceptional pop-rock and so Jasper & Co can now also\ncount on innumerable fans below the language-border.   \nSupport act to both Arid shows will be Roadburg\, who\nexcelled in the past at Humo's Rock Rally 2008\,\nPukkelpop 2008 and Limbomania 2007 (silver and audience\nprize). On 22 February they’ll be releasing their debut\nalbum upon the world. ‘Raise Cain’ (recorded in the\nTemple Studios with Luuk Cox behind the dials – see too:\nTim Vanhamel) sounds like the perfect marriage between The\nJezus And Mary Chain and Sonic Youth in a radio friendly\nmood. Pop music? Yes\, but not as we know it.
