DESCRIPTION:All ConnectedAll Connected is a series in Huis23 which\ninvolves concerts\, films\, readings and instrument\npresentations with and about artists who play with the\nlanguage of ‘voltage control’\, who use the\n‘modular’ as creative thought process and test musical\nlimits with it\, artists who work in the spirit of San\nFrancisco Tape Music Centre: a collective that came into\nbeing when pioneers like Terry Riley\, Morton Subotnick\,\nSteve Reich\, Ramon Sender\, Pauline Oliveros\, and many\nothers connected their oscillators and tape-recorders\ntogether and from which the most progressive music of that\nperiod originated.    Dolphins Into The FutureLieven Martens\nMoana is an artiest/composer from Antwerp who has played an\nimportant role in Belgian experimental music for many years\nnow. By combining musique concrète\, field-recordings\,\nelectronic synthesis\, new age and contemporary noise\, he\nhas created a unique mix of historical avant-garde and\npoetic neo-romantisisme. His now already impressive oeuvre\nhas been released on labels like KRAAK and Aguirre\nRecords.Wietske van Gils will assist during his concert at\nAll Connected by providing video-projections.\nGodfried-Willem RaesDr. Godfried Willem Raes is a phenomenon\nin recent Belgian art-history. Aside from being a concert\norganiser\, composer\, performer\, teacher and instrument\nbuilder\, he is also an expert in computer technology and\nestablished the Logos Foundation in support of new music. He\nstudied musicology\, philosophy\, piano\, clarinet\,\npercussion & composition and he published many critical\nessays and polemic and technical scientific articles in\nprofessional journals. His artistic and scientific output is\nunstoppable and he has received much recognition worldwide\nbecause of this.Raes is also an inveterate pipe-smoker\,\nalready vegetarian for more than 49 years\, anarchist\,\nanti-royalist\, anti-nationalist\, atheist\, agnostic\, he\nhas never had a drink of cola\, doesn't have a driving\nlicense\, no car\, no kids\, no cat\, no mobile\nphone\,….His website is a source of information about the\nman's life and work\, and is certainly worth visiting:\nhttp://www.logosfoundation.orgDr. Raes has promised to bring\nalong a number of old instruments for his performance in the\nAll Connected series.Screening Erkki Kurenniemi filmsFinnish\nartist\, philosopher and designer Kurenniemi is mainly known\nfor his electronic compositions.
