DESCRIPTION:It may well have taken more than three years for her much\nlauded album and debut ‘The Pirate’s Gospel’ to reach\nus here and establish a following but now she's taken\noff it just can't go wrong for folky singer songwriter\nAlela Diane. She's played twice to a full house (in\n‘08 and ‘09) in – euh – this house\, then also\nreleased the successful album ‘To Be Still’ and\ncontributed to the project of New York producers duo\nHeadless Heroes – on which she sang covers of the likes of\nNick Cave\, Daniel Johnston and The Jesus & Mary Chain.\nIt seems to have been quiet around her for rather a long\ntime now but nothing could be further from the truth. Alela\nmoved from her birthplace Nevada City (see also: Joanna\nNewsom\, Mariee Sioux\, Alina Hardin) to Portland Oregon\,\nshe released a 10 inch with her friend Alina Hardin\, could\nbe heard on a track by Blitzentrapper and changed her\n‘band name’ to Alela Diane & Wild Divine (with\,\naside from dear father\, now also dear husband amongst the\nmembers). In early '11 she will release her latest and\nthird album\, which according to Alela “… is a bit of a\njaunt down a new path.
