Combi-tickets for the two-dayer are only €15 in\npresale and €18 at the door! Friday 1 March in the\nAB 7:00 pm Club: Joy Wellboy Fresh and intense\nduo: Joy Aldegoke and Wim Janssen have themselves\naccompanied when necessary. See: recent visits to Deep In\nThe Woods or as support to Angus Stone and Kimbra in the\nBotanique!? Homebase is Brussels\, but apparently also very\nwelcome in California. 7:40 pm Box: The Peas Project\n Super funky collective. Already in the Wanted! Section at\nCouleur Café in 2006\, Summer 2012 they were back in full\nglory on a much bigger stage. On the road again now with a\nsecond CD: 'Power & Romance'. By the time\nit's ABBota there should be a fresh EP too!? (Nu)Funk\,\n(Afro)Beat\, (Pop)Rock & (Electro) Hip Hop cocktail! \n 8:30 pm Club: Leaf House From Luik and the highly\npraiseworthy Jaune Orange stables there. Subtle DIY and an\napparently effervescently undulating sound live\, one that\nleans toward Caribou\, Yeasayer\, Grizzly Bear... For those\nwho also love 'pastel tints and intimate ambiance.'\nOn the crossroad between freak-folk and electronic rhythms. \n 9:20 pm Box: Montevideo It's 'welcome\nback' (as they were already at ABBota 2007!) The\ncheerful\, eclectic four from Montevideo have finally\nfinished 'Personal Space'\, their official debut on\nEMI. Their fresh pop-constructions have certainly also\ncharmed the national press\, up to and including\, e.g. 4\npages of praise in KnackFocus for their 'danceable\nAnglophile sound.' 10:30 pm Club: Roscoe Like\ntheir site indicates: Roscoe\, the band (not the cowshed in\nthe USA.) But the band's name does echo the rural\ngrandeur that's deeply embedded here. See: CD\n'Cracks' (out on Pias): for those who also get a\nkick out of broadly arranged scraps of Elbow or The\nNational\, in between the 'pictorial &\ntranscendental.' Saturday 2 March in the Bota \nGeppetto and the WhalesThis talented young Belgian band\nsurfaced in 2011 with ‘Oh My God’\, their first single\,\nfull of country and folk rhythms. Following their tour of\nthe festivals in 2011 and 2012\, and in anticipation of\ntheir first album\, the 5 guys from Geppetto and the Whales\ncome to enchant us with their superb EP ‘People of\nGalicove’.Steak Number EightThe young Belgians from Steak\nNumber Eight must have received recognition from the entire\nmusic world by now. They convincingly won Humo's Rock\nRally in 2008 and their second album ‘All Is Chaos’ was\nreleased by British magazine Metal Hammer. They've\nalready set the stages of Dour and Pukkelpop ablaze with\ntheir searing hard-rock.PaonFrom the moment that Ben (The\nTellers) met Aurelio (Lucy Lucy!)\, the songs have always\nbeen established around their two voices. Lively guitars and\norganic keyboard sounds were then added. There are 4 of them\non stage. Paon\, in your face. (See: that recent support act\nfor The Van Jets!).TommigunTommigun presents music that\nsometimes exhibits fragile beauty and sorrow and sometimes\nappears very brutal and astonishing. After touching all of\nEurope with their first album ‘Come Watch Me\nDisappear’\, these Belgians now have new album out\,\n‘Pretenders’\, produced by Koen Gisen. Emotional lyrics\nare paired with melancholy melodies. See: those recent\nFeeërieën\, of course!CoelyFrom Congo and immensely\ntalented (see too: amongst others\, a recent Humo or De\nStandaard.) Belgian hip-hop with international legitimacy!\nThe first single by this young band from Antwerp\,\n‘Ain’t Chasing Pavements’\, quickly conquered the\nNorthern part of the country and\, fully self-assured\, they\nannounced their first album\, due to be released in early\n2013.
