Pigeon on Piano dovecote is a magical musical peep-show. Pianist Katrien ‘Pigeon’ Verfaillie plays own compositions in the smallest concert venue in the world. Those who listen, and take a peek inside, land in a curious world. In a magical theatre decor of pigeons, light reflections and delightful piano compositions. Katrien is divinely dressed and plays live, wonderfully, resisting rules, but marvelously harmonious. Pigeon on Piano dovecote is an intense activity-act and at the same time it offers an intimate moment to listen. The dovecote is a large hexagonal structure with a pointed roof, painted to look like a… real ‘duvekot’. It is in fact ‘the smallest concert venue in the world’. The audience experiences her concert by peeping into the dovecote through ‘viewing holes’, and by listening to the piano music through headphones hanging next to the viewing openings. An audience of 10 can look and listen at the same time.
